Chris Fox is an exceptionally talented producer, arranger, composer, and guitarist, widely recognized as the “Quincy Jones of the Bahamas.” His fiery musical arrangements and diverse productions have not only captivated audiences but have also established him as a leading figure in the Bahamian music scene, earning him immense respect among his peers and fans alike.

With an impressive body of work, Chris has produced eleven original albums and two critically acclaimed plays, Revelation and The Reason for the Seasons (A Musical). His upcoming releases, In Pursuit of Perfection and Songs for All Seasons, promise to further showcase his creative genius and musical versatility. These projects reflect his commitment to pushing the boundaries of music while staying rooted in the rich cultural heritage of the Bahamas.

In addition to his musical endeavors, Chris is also an accomplished author. He has penned several insightful books, including 50 Ways to Pray the Word, 100 Ways to Pray the Word, In Pursuit of Excellence, and Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth. Through these writings, he shares his profound understanding of spirituality and personal growth, inspiring readers to deepen their faith and enhance their lives.

Chris’s albums, particularly Revelation and Destiny, have earned him numerous accolades, including multiple Bahamian Grammy Awards, known as the B.A.P Awards and the Marlin Awards. His artistry has resonated with many, leading to significant recognition within the industry. He has been honored with eleven Marlin Awards, a testament to his dedication and impact on Bahamian music. Among these, he received the prestigious “Outstanding Album of the Year” award for his remarkable work on the album Destiny, which showcases his innovative sound and artistic vision.

Furthermore, Chris achieved recognition beyond the Bahamas when he won the “Outstanding Junkanoo/Calypso Recording of the Year” Award for his hit song, Don’t Be a Hypocrite. This achievement highlights his ability to blend traditional Bahamian elements with contemporary sounds, creating music that appeals to a wide audience.

In a remarkable achievement, Mr. Fox won first prize in the 2020 Song Door International Song Writing Competition, a renowned global platform for songwriters. His winning entry, Funkathology, is an original instrumental piece that fuses rock, funky jazz, and the vibrant rhythms of Bahamian Junkanoo. This fusion not only captures the essence of his musical style but also reflects his innovative approach to crafting unique soundscapes.

Chris graduated from Berklee College of Music (Boston Massachusetts) in 1978, as one of the top students achieving Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Professional Music.

Although music is a universal language, only a few of us are gifted to use it melodically, inspiringly, and captivatingly. Chris Fox stands tall among the few who have been so gifted.” These were the comments of the late former Prime Minister of the Bahamas of 25 years, Sir Lynden Oscar Pindling. 

Chris Fox is a guitarist, arranger, composer and producer. He privately teaches music at his music school in Nassau, Bahamas. He is a graduate of one of the most renowned music schools in the world, Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts; a Magnum Cum Laude graduate with a degree in professional music. He loves big arrangements as you will hear in all his compositions.  

The music that you are about to hear is comprised of short excerpts from a few of Chris Fox’s songs on the music CD, My Whole Life is Music. All music and lyrics were written, arranged, and produced by Chris Fox. The excerpts of music from Mozart’s “Facile in C” were arranged with a fusion of Bahamian, Jamaican, and Latin music combinations.
